This month we completed a major overhaul on an old property that had fallen into a stay of disarray. The home had become extremely outdated and unpleasant to the modern real estate market. The Kitchen, carpet, deck, bedrooms, and bathrooms all desperately needed a renovation. The complete home renovation was a lengthy process but resulted in a home that felt brand new and greatly increased the value of the property. Laying Carpet The first step of this home renovation was replacing the old shag carpets. Upgrading the flooring in an old home is a quick way to significantly increase the comfort factor of a home. Although a full end to lockdown looks unlikely any time soon, pressure from businesses and the economy might force it to happen early. This could mean thousands of kiwis flooding back into the workplace. This gives a very unique opportunity to businesses in need of a serious office renovation. While everyone is at home and the office is empty, now is the best time to get started on those much-needed upgrades. Besides changing the layout and adding new furniture, here are some ideas to help you transform your office into an ideal working environment. New Flooring Take a quick look at your flooring. Is the carpet balding and full of stains from years of employees spilling their morning brew? Has all colour faded, leaving it a dull and depressive grey? Have the office chairs carved grooves into the hardwood floor? Fresh flooring can bring a tired looking office back to life. Depending on your situation there are many solutions to restore the beauty back to the floor. Sometimes a new vanish for the hardwood, or shampoo for the carpet may be all that is needed. However, if you need something more extensive the old flooring is easy to rip up and replace. New carpet has a lifespan of anywhere from 5-15 years. This gives you plenty of use. However, a full makeover...
